Greenpeace activists climbed onto the top of a Manchester to London plane after it parked at London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal One. The activists covered the tail fin with a banner reading ‘Climate emergency NO 3rd Runway’ in protest against the airport expansion for short haul flights.

An activist dressed in polar bear costume is arrested outside the US Department of the Interior.

Greenpeace activists project a message to US President George Bush on the Washington Monument.

As automobile shows opened in Brussels and Vienna today, Greenpeace challenged the European car manufacturers to stop undermining a European proposal for more fuel efficient cars, and instead take real action to lower the climate impact of their fleets. In Brussels Greenpeace activists displayed banners depicting car manufacturers as the wooden puppet Pinocchio, dismissing their attempts to appear green as mere PR tactics.
