Personally i believe that the basic reason that the list includes very poor cities is that the habitants of these cities offer very cheap workers for factories!
The basic question that we have to answer (especially today, world's environment day for the world's bloggers 15/10/07) is if  the third world countries must use more unhealthier ways for their  production...Is it possible those ways help those countries growth more fast?</description>

		<description>Funny that America always gets knocked for being a polluting, environment-hating nation; yet, when the rubber hits the road... no American cities appear on the list.

Of course we should be dramatically reducing, but we shouldn't feel quite as bad about ourselves in the process.</description>
